7-7-07, bleh

I don't know why... but it's been bugging me a bit that so many people are making a big deal about 7-7-07.

"Oooo... that's a lucky number! All those sevens!" (Imagine Edith Bunker saying that. I do.)

No. If it were 7-7-7, that might be a lucky year, but that was two thousand years ago. I've never heard anything being lucky about 2007. Is that a lucky number too, and all my numerologist friends just weren't telling me. (I really don't have that many numerologist friends. Hmm.. maybe one, and even him I'm not sure.)

So stop with the crazy talk, people!

It's hard to relax

Ugh. I have five vacation days left to use before August 1 (work anniversary day, when my vacation expires and renews). Joe and I sat down last week and compared calendars. We have one weekend in July that doesn't already have something scheduled. Great.

I was starting to put together plans to go see our friends JD and Damon in San Francisco, June 8-17 (there by missing Don & Dan's ice cream social), but I think Joe is feeling slightly hesitant about that trip for some reason. We'd love to find a nice gay/gay friendly cruise to go on, but there aren't any good/affordable ones before August. I'd originally saved the vacation time for a cruise in the spring, but that didn't work out (damn VIP visit at work!).

I could just take every Friday off in July and half of June (already have one scheduled for the Atons Campout, July 20-22)

On top of just trying to schedule a trip, the prices of flights isn't helping either. Hopefully we can find a cheap flight, but I'm not holding my breath.
