Granted, it might be that the album just gives me an audible pavlovian response and brings me back to the mental happy place I was in when I watched the movie. The Brokeback Mountain soundtrack album does that for me, even though I'm not normally a fan of country music.
This comes up because a couple songs from Shortbus came up in random on my iPod this morning, so I kicked it out of random and now I'm listening to the whole album. That's what I love about my iPod. Thanks to a great mix of my own music collection, and several gigs of music from
romeoa a couple years ago, I have a wonderfully eclectic collection that varies from pop, other soundtracks, dance and electric, hard rock, concert albums, and a tiny bit of country (thanks to Brokeback). Oh, and once in a while a track from one of the Harry Potter audio books will pop up, even though I thought I cleared those all out.
