HV20

I finally crossed over to the HD video realm today. We purchased a Canon HV20 camcorder for work to replace our old Canon SD camera which died last fall.

Just starting to play with the camera a bit late in the afternoon. I'm going to take it home for the weekend to really try and get a sense of how it works, and figure out what the Final Cut Pro work

While reading the Amazon comments on this camera, one person linked to this site which talks about some high and low cost options for external microphones that will work with the camera. I think this is going to be a must.

This camera is a compromise for work. I wanted to get a higher end SD camera for small corporate video projects, but they were still over our budget amount. The HV20 cost us about $900 at Best Buy, and I'm sure it can be found for less online. I've been told that this is a good low budget camera for doing professional work, so I'll see if it can really produce the kind of video that I'll need.
