Sadly I can't hire ANY of my LJ friends at my company... temp or otherwise. See... I'm what's called a peon. I don't manage shit around here. Plus, my company is all about sending work to India. So, maybe if you move to India I could get you a job. But your English has to be good.

(Part of what's making my job a bit stressful right now is that India isn't ramping up very fast, but they already RIF'ed our department... so I have to make up the slack until India can take over.)

Well, if your work doesn't want a techie, I can always put on my Linguist Hat and teach the folks in India how to fake an American accent! ;-)

Screw the accent, just teach them that repeating everything I say without actually listening and comprehending it does not help. ;) Not that I just went through that with Toshiba yesterday or anything.

It's not "hire me!" as much as it is "pass on my name to your dark overlords if there is ever lots of work and you need extra help" as helping out overburdened marketing dept and creative agencies is how we roll in my world.

Sorry to bug you!

Not bugging... I was using "hire" in a very general sense. I've tried to pass work on to friends before, but there is this whole stupid process for getting freelance people approved. Right now they are doing any local work through Creative Group.

The other half of overburdened is underbudgeted. They have given us no money and we are expect to do a lot.

But... since it really wouldn't hurt... send me your info and I'll pass it on. Send it to andrewabertke@eaton.com.

Squeaky Wheel!
