My new family member

Ok, its not as wonderful as baby Nico, but this is my new baby.

I don't go "squeeeee," but if I did then I would be doing so now.

Now I'm transfering all my files from the old Mac.

Easy transfer

Wow... the Mac transfer utility is WONDERFUL! It took two hours to transfer all my files and applications, but when the new machine finally launched it was like I was back on my old machine... just faster! All my applications work, and my other settings are all there too. When I opened Firefox to go to LJ, I was already logged in!

Bloat

A year or two ago a utility that helps to clean out some of the system bloat in Mac OS X. It cleans out things such as the unneeded language files and such.

Now I can't remember what that program is. Can any of you recommend something like this?

Thanks to all of you who posted birthday well wishes to me today. I always appreciate these little aspects of friendships, but this year I am especially enjoying the attention. I spent the last couple of days working hard doing photography coverage of a major event at work, so my stress level has been especially high. Going right from a high energy vacation to a high stress work project is a bit taxing.

So thanks to all my friends and family who have reached out to me today. You, and even though friends who didn't call or write today, are all great people and I'm glad that you are all in my life.

Oh, and I love my new MacBook Pro too.
