Gas prices, again

The price of gas in Eden Prairie shot up to $2.17 some time between 8:30am and 11:30am.

After lunch I drove to Chanhassen, next city out, and gas was still at $1.90. Needless to say, I fueled up.

Is it just me, or do gas prices typically increase on Wednesdays?

SuperAmerica raised their prices to $2.19 at 9AM. I assume everyone followed suit shortly thereafter. I'm going to try and find someone still in the $1.90's on my home tonight.

In my recollection of recent price changes, SA usually raises their prices somewhere between 9AM Wednesday and 3PM Thursday. It used to be fairly reliably Thursday, but it's currently going about 50/50 between the two.

Lucky you!

$2.79 9/10 Regular
$2.89 9/10 Plus
$3.05 9/10 Premium

over by my office here in L.A.

$1.90 is shockingly low for us here. I think the highest we've had recently was $2.35 a couple weeks ago. I think we have been higher than that, but I can't recall when.

IIRC, I saw someone claim $2.37 on http://www.twincitiesgasprices.com. They claim and average price of $2.26 on 4/5 was our three-year high.

Not too far off down here in San Diego, either.

The gas at the BP Amoco on Como and Cleveland/Randolph and at the Citgo further down Como, across from Muffuletta, was 197.9 for regular.

Of course, since I've typed this, it's probably gone up to 297.9.

David does this to but I never understand driving out of ones way thus using up gas one wouldn't have to purchase less expensive gas. Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose?

Chanhassen isn't really out of the way for me. Its just another two miles down the road from my office, and I'm usually there for lunch anyways.
