You know, in this age of sexually transmitted diseases, The The's song "Infected" (") just seems so wrong.

Of course this is all driven out of my mind with the next random song on my iPod, Men in Hat's "Pop Goes the World."

"Infected" dates to '86, shortly after AIDS hit the press big time (Rock Hudson and Ryan White being '85 stories). It was no less wrong then.

Anything by The The is going to be loaded with irony. I find it hysterical that the slacker anti-anthem "This is the Day" is being used for an M&Ms commercial.
