Back to the gym...

After work today I'm starting with a new trainer at the gym. I've barely set food in the gym for the last six months, and I was pretty spotty for the six months before that, so I'm hoping that a trainer will be able to help me get back on track.

Of course, I'm also feeling a little under the weather today. I think I might have had some slightly off egg nog last night (we were cleaning out the fridge), and my stomach was not happy when I went to bed. All today I've still been a little off. But this first session with the trainer shouldn't be to strenuous, so I'm not worried.

And no, this is not a New Year's Resolution kind of thing. This is just a good time of year to add something extra to my schedule. I've been meaning to do this for a while, so now is a good as any time.

It's always a bit amusing how the first couple of weeks of January are busier at the gym than the rest of the year.

I hope that you'll be able to stick to it. Which gym are you going to? (I'm at the Bally's at Nicollet and 66th.)

Well, I've been a fairly regular gym user for the past several years, though I'd stop doing weights for the last year. As for sticking with it, that's why I hired a trainer, to help get over the initial hump.

I'm going to the Bally's in Bloomington, but I've also gone to the Richfield Bally's on occasion.
