American Idol is just fracked up!

Ok... how did I not know that the song's real title is "Vicent," and not Starry, Starry, Night??? I don't think I've ever heard it called Vincent before reading djmrswhite's review of this past week's American Idol episodes, over on Advocate.com.

I like this song in small doses. One of my classmates played a lovely version of the song during my prom, back in 1991. I've rearly heard this song since. Last week on AI, Kevin Corvais, aka Chicken Little, sang it for America. I'm sure his family was proud, but I envoked my power of Fast Forwarding (gotta love the DVR!) and went on to Taylor Hicks.

Apparantly I must have been the only one who thinks the Corvais shouldn't be on American Idol... because he got enough votes to move on to the final 12 (aka the big stage). I was really praying for Corvair and white trash Bucky Convington to hit the road. Where did America go wrong!!!

Cold house means warm snuggles

Joe has reported to me that we don't have power at home now. We did when we woke up this morning, though our clocks were flashing, so we must have lost power sometime during the night.

I also said that the house is starting to get cold, so he's downstairs by the fireplace. Even though I love to conserve body heat with my husband, I'm really hoping that we have power back this afternoon. I'm a little worried out our dogs.
