Search their site for family tartans also, and it came up with Buchanan again. But they also had different versions of Buchanan. I kind of like the Buchanan Hunter Modern tartan.
Sport Kilts look interesting. My friend Bruce was wearing one this weekend. They're not Utilikilts, but I like the tartan look as a change from the UK.
I was trying to search Clan.com to see if either of my families, Bertke or Gross, have connections to tartans. Bertke, being a very German family, definitely didn't, but looks like Gross has some connection to the Buchanan Tartan. "Gross is also a descendant family (sept) or variant spelling for these clan or district tartans"
Sadly I'm not very fond of the yellow and red stripes in this tartan. If I ever do purchase something made with a tartan, I would probably go with something generic like the Ancient Black Watch tartan. Or I could just go with the Island Onyx island kilt.
