Wow... Apple is now officially supporting dual boot Macs that can run Windows XP.
From the Apple website:
More and more people are buying and loving Macs. To make this choice simply irresistible, Apple will include technology in the next major release of Mac OS X, Leopard, that lets you install and run the Windows XP operating system on your Mac. Called Boot Camp (for now), you can download a public beta today.

This makes my desire to get a new MacBook a bit stronger.
(I like how Boot Camp appears to be a temporary name.)

Lens mix up
Apr. 5th, 2006 02:26 pmI purchase to new camera lenses for work a couple of weeks ago. The first one, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Ultra Wide Angle Zoom, arrived late last week. The second one, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, kind of arrived on Monday.
I say kind of because while the packaging said the EF 24-105mm lens, the lens inside was actually another EF 17-40mm wide angle lens. Ugh. I didn't notice this until today when I finally had some time to sit down and try out the new lens. Now I have to return it to Amazon and get it replaced with the correct order.
