On Vox: Snow
Feb. 25th, 2007 02:01 pmIt's been a pretty quiet weekend here. We're having a few friends over to watch the Oscars tonight, so we've been doing a bit of cleaning. I've done four loads of laundry this weekend, and two loads of dishes, plus a sink full of other dishes that don't clean well in the washer. We finally put away the suitcases from the New Orleans trip, and Joe put all of his beads away in storage.
Joe's on the phone now with his Mom to get the recipe for Scotcheroos. He wasn't quite happy with the recipes that he found online, preferring his Mom's recipe. I'm not sure if he's actually going to make them or not.
It looks like our attendance list for tonight is being dramatically cut by the weather. It may just be four of us for all I know.
I helped Joe shovel yesterday, and when I finally got out of bed this morning at 10:30, Joe was already out shoveling. He's also really good about helping our older neighbors across the street. The husband had hip surgery a few months ago, so he's not able to shovel now. This leaves it up to the wife to shovel. We both helped yesterday.
It looks like the worst of the snow is past.
