Doug Friauf
Apr. 25th, 2007 12:01 pmOur fellow SF fan and friend Doug Friauf passed away yesterday morning.
Goodbye, Doug.
We traveled with Doug in the 90's to Europe to attend Worldcon. Looking at the world through the eyes of someone in a wheel chair was definitely interesting. Driving the van through the narrow London streets was scary (we only knocked out a couple mirrors). I also remember working hard to lift Doug and his chair up the front steps of our old home. We wanted him there, so the task was worth it. Sadly he never got to see our new home, though I think he would have loved the theater.
[Thanks to
barondave for letting us all know.]
