Gadgets don't belong in bars!
Jun. 24th, 2007 12:55 amI am such an idiot sometimes.
This week I've been trying out some new bluetooth headsets to go with my new phone. Today I bought a Plantronics Discovery 665, which I was really liking. The thing I liked most about it is that it has a little case that then you can then clip to your pocket or shirt to carry the headset around. The thing I hate about most other bluetooth headsets is that there is no easy way to carry them around except by just wearing it in your ear, which looks so dorky.
So I bought the 665 at Best Buy today, and for some stupid reason I brought it with me to the Eagle/Bolt tonight. It was clipped to the inside of my pocket for most of the night until I suddenly noticed that it was gone. Ugh. It is probably in little little little pieces on the dark Bolt Underground floor right now.
That was an expensive lesson to learn. Don't wear gadgets to a crowded bar! I already kind of knew this because half the time I don't even bring my phone in with me. What was I thinking?
We just got home from the bar and Joe found the same headset on Buy.com for me for MUCH cheaper than what I paid at Best Buy. So yes... this was an expensive lesson... but my lovely husband just helped me make it a little less expensive.
