Enjoying the Monty
Oct. 16th, 2007 02:20 pmIs it wrong to say that I really enjoy the music from the musical version of "The Full Monty"?
"You Walk With Me" is just beautiful, and even more so because it is sung between two men. "Jeanette's Showbiz Number" is a hoot, and was even funnier on stage. "Breeze Off the River" is a really touching as a song between a divorced father who is trying to stay connected with his son. And "Big-Ass Rock" is a true tribute to friendship... or at least the length a guy should go for he best friend.

Goodbye, Xena

While we were at Gaylaxicon two weeks ago we got some very sad news from San Francisco that Xena, the adorable little Chihuahua who was often seen in the lap of our friend JD, passed away. She was a tiny little girl who seemed impossibly small, especially next to her brother who was at least twice her size. Her little squeak toy of a bark could be barely heard over running water. She was a beautiful little girl, and it will be strange and sad to visit JD and Damon and not have her there to hold.
Goodbye Xena. I'm sure you will find some kind angel to hold you.
