Like a new computer

Mom's PC is now up and running with the new 1gb DIMM. I had one false restart where I realized I hadn't seated the memory right, and hate to wait the 5 minutes while Windows struggled to boot up completely on only 256mb of memory. I finally got it shut down again, reseated the DIMM, and all was golden.
