In terms of firewalling, the only firewall you need outside of the individual computer ones should be the one that connects the network to the internet. So, you can reasonably safely try just turning off the firewall on your wireless router, especially if you have WEP enabled and a reasonably secure admin password for the router itself.
Not the 100% most absolutely secure approach, but it should be Good Enough™.
Also check to make sure that the only router that is using port forwarding is the one actually talking to the internet, unless you Really Know What You're Doing with forwarding settings and are confident of the second router's IP address.
