Birthday sickness
Jan. 19th, 2006 09:39 amTurns out that I got TWO unexpected gifts on my birthday. The first I've already mentioned... my job! The second gift was the ever pleasant gift of sickness.
When I got home from work on Tuesday, I crashed into bed and slept for an hour or two. I got up for a while when Joe got home and we had a very nice meal of Indian take-out. Then he gave me the Flash tv series box set for my birthday, which was very cool! After that we just relaxed and watched our recorded TV shows from the past week, and then I feel asleep early.
But then on Wednesday morning I was just feeling like total crap. I had a low fever and a lot of pain in my ears and throat. I just wend back to sleep and finally called into work around 11am.
So, sadly I didn't get my friends together this year to celebrate my birthday. Maybe I'll try and organize something soon. I'm just not sure what to do yet.
