You know... if I ever had the opportunity to be in a mainstream musical, I would love to be in the cast of Hair. For some reason I love these songs. Yeah, they are just a bit dated.

Hmm... speaking (err... writing) of dated, has anyone ever tried to update Hair? *Could* we update Hair? Yeah, I guess without the draft it doesn't have the same kick.

I know! Place it in the near future. The middle east war has gotten out of hand, the draft is reinstated, and we're back in the 60's again (says the guy born in the 70's).

I still listen to that soundtrack all the time and love it to bits. When I was married (early 80's) I had a 14 year old stepson. We watched the movie on TV and he didn't get it. And I couldn't explain it so that he would. And, it wasn't the draft. He got that. It was the hair.

'Nobody's going to get all that freaked about long hair. geesh.'

But, my best, most vivid memory is when it first came out on Broadway. The scandal, the buzz, the hype was not about the draft or the hair. It was the NUDE sceen!!!

We don't want our $2 back, just him...

Are you sure you just don't want to be naked in front of a huge audience?

Oh wait, you've been there.

I've been in front of a large audience. I've been naked in front of a small group. But I've never been naked in front of a large audience.

Sounds fun.

You could name the new show Extensions?

To tell the truth, though, that'd be an extensive update -- society in the 2000s is far different from that of the 1960s.
