So long comics?

I've been debating if I should stop collecting comics or not. Well, the argument for stopping got a little help today when my comic shop, Hot Comics, told me that they are no longer giving discounts to subscribers. Actually, they stopped at the beginning of the year, but they didn't bother to tell me. I've only been shopping there for nearly 10 years.

Can anyone tell me if any other local comic shops are still offering discounts to subscribers? Is this a complete industry trend?

I think I'll wrap up a few of the limited series I'm collecting and call it quits.

That's lame. You should tell them that you're going to stop collecting because of them effectively raising their prices.

Interesting I just found my new comic shop in Philly and I was surprised there was no discount for sunscriptions. I assumed it was a Canadian thing to give discounts because of the dollar. Maybe I should shop around.
