That's basically my plan as well. Though I'll probably wait until November when my cell contract runs out. Time will tell if my willpower will last that long.

Since I do, and since they allow existing contract holders to start their 2 year contract over again when they get an iPhone, then I might as well get it now rather than waiting.
Its interesting because it looks like AT&T finally introduced some new, less expensive phone plans as well... Still pricier than I'd like but its a step.
oops, I left out the key phrase- "for the iPhone" in my comment. The least expensive is about $59 a month, but it'd be excellent to see the price drop down to about $30/$40 a month
The features I'll miss from ny 8525 are the ability to tether my Mac to it to get the Mac online, and the ability to log into my home PC and Mac to control them.
But I don't do either of those often enough to deny myself the splendor that is the iPhone.
