More Subway waste

Follow up to the Subway waste issue.
Got a call back from the local Subway Human Resources person who told me that it is state law that requires Subway to use the plastic bags.
I told her I was disappointed to hear that. I then asked her if they would consider alternatives, such as providing a recycling receptical in the store instead of only offering the trash can. In her best snide HR voice, she told me she would pass along the comment.
Next time you eat at Subway, ask them to not give you a bag. If they insist, then tell them you will have lunch somewhere else that doesn't force unnneccesary waste on you.
(Hey... anyone know of a person I can talk to at the MN Health Department? I want to ask them why they require this, and if their are any alternatives besides the bags.)
