Cancer sucks

Just got news last night that our friend David's son, Eli, has a few spots on his x-ray. A couple years ago a huge tumor was found in Eli's torso during an apendectomi (sp?). They quickly removed it and put the poor kid through cemo and all those other horrible cancer treatments.
He's been clear for at least a year now, so everyone is surprised by this news. The good news is that is lungs and torse are still clear. The spots are on one of the leg bones.
This brings to mind my coworker Doug's daughter Laura who died a few month ago after 5 years a battling canacer. Here parents are holding a memorial for her next month down in Ohio. I doubt I'll make it down, but I will try and pull together a charity donation in her name.
