Baby Gift

My sister is due to give birth within the next two weeks. We're going to fly down and spend Thanksgiving with them.

What would be a great baby gift? I could just get a Babies-R-Us gift card, but I though a specific gift would also be great. Maybe some art for my new nephew's room...

Any suggestions for gifts?

The Zutano line of clothing is expensive and terrific. I know they sell it at the babystore on 50th and France next to the cheese shop. A single really nice item of clothing sized 3 months and up (it's best to get bigger things) is nifty. We've been given 3 or 4 zutano things and found them really special (by expensive I mean that an outfit can cost 20$ or so, as opposed to the 5-9 of normal brands).

Yes, this is her first child. I did Google "Aveda Salon" in Jackson, MS, but not much came up.

Something thet registered for is always a good bet.

Something personalized an embroidered blanket, a keepsake box for birth certificate, first hair cut, first tooth. Or yes personalized art for his room if you know what colors or theme they have.

How about some really cool original art ... an abstract photo that when viewed closely is a picture of ya'll? Or perhaps something fun made from a photo of your dog? Something personal is always best in my book. I'm sure she'll appreciate the thought and love behind whatever you decide to do.
