Dome Home

While Joe takes a nap, I'm watching "Extreme Homes Down Under" on HGTV. They just reviewed Firtz Eisenhofer's dome home on the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand. This is a sci-fi-wonderful home with in my opinion.

When my father retired from the Navy, we moved to Blackduck, MN and he proceeded to build a dome home that we lived in through my high school years. It had cool space but was a bear to heat in the winter. He also looked into subterranean homes while coming up with the plan but didn't combine the two.
